Devo for 3/1//2026 - Message by Pastor Clint
Doing things a little differently on this devo. Real Men was last Monday, and Pastor Clint brought a powerful and challenging message for us men. His message centered on 5 traits that a Godly Man of Valor would have. These traits were Vision, Authenticity, Love, Obedience, and Relationships.
He made the following points about each of the traits:
Vision is seeing what should be, believing it could be, & intentionally marching in that direction. He also mentioned that vision produces Faith, Commitment, Love, & Courage!!!
Authenticity is not a weakness; it is the starting point of courage. You cannot walk in Valor by pretending.
Love always wants the highest good for others and is willing to sacrifice to serve them.
Obedience is a trait of Mighty Men of Valor when they do what God asks them to do!
Relationships God created us to be in relationship with other brothers. If you don’t have men who can you and pray for you: you are weak and vulnerable.
This message presented a great opportunity for each of us to look within ourselves and see where we stand on these traits. I encourage everyone to get in the presence of God and let Him walk you through each of the questions presented below.
V — VISION
What is God’s VISION for my life?
Do my actions align with my vision?
A — AUTHENTICITY
Do I live in AUTHENTICITY with God?
Who knows the real me — the scars & stars?
L — LOVE
Who has God called me to LOVE?
Am I sacrificially protecting, leading, & serving them? How?
O — OBEDIENCE
Is my life marked by OBEDIENCE or Disobedience?
What is one clear step of OBEDIENCE I need to take now?
What “altar” needs to be torn down before I can win bigger battles?
R — RELATIONSHIPS
Am I isolated… or intentionally connected?
Who are the men fighting beside me?
If you don’t know, who could you invite into this area of your life?
Men, don’t waste this opportunity for growth. To be a man of valor, we have to be willing to allow God to grow us. It is not always comfortable, but it is always full of love, forgiveness, and healing!
Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
