Devo for 3/29/2026 - Message by Pastor Austin

The new series,  “Jesus Changes Everything,” was kicked off by Pastor Austin this past weekend.  He took a fresh look at one of the most well-known scriptures in the Bible, John 3:16.  Pastor Austin explained that there is an invitation from Jesus to walk in connection and to encounter His love as displayed through His wounds from the cross.  We live this statement by looking to God for all of our needs, which Pastor Austin summed up with this statement:

Looking is Living

One truth that plays out in this concept of looking to God is that anytime we are in His presence, He will offer us an invitation or an opportunity.  If we are obedient to His offer, we can have real change in our lives.  We can receive comfort, healing, peace, love, and all things good if we will just look to Him and be obedient.

One area where God will give us opportunities that we may not have thought about is in ministering to others.  Many times, we go to God only when we have a need or desire for ourselves.  But our calling is to minister (serve) to others.  And the great news is that God loves to use us to minister to others!

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

Have you ever thought about this?  That we are to minister to others.  This term minister is used to signify being a servant, to serve, or wait upon.  When looking at the term “minister to,” it means “to attend to anything that may serve another’s interest.” So as God’s ministers, we get the opportunity to pour into others in a way that meets their needs!

So, my challenge is for each of us to ask God for an opportunity to serve someone.  Or ask Him where you should serve.  Then, when He gives you that invitation, obediently and boldly go forth and minister!  You will experience a fullness of Joy knowing you were obedient in God’s direction and calling as you get to bless others by serving them!

Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
