Devo for 6/7/2026 - Message by Pastor Duane

What a great weekend we just had!  GO Conference was amazing with some great worship, testimonies, and lots of people!  It was capped off by Pastor Duane bringing the message on Sunday morning.

Pastor Duane shared testimonies of the miracle of God’s work that is done when we walk in boldness and faith.  He noted how most Christians believe in Jesus, but pointed out how we are to believe and operate in the “Name of Jesus”,  In fact we are to do everything in the name of the Lord!

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17

In the book of John, Jesus calls us to action to walk in this authority when he says:’ “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you!”

He has “sent” us to pray and operate within His purpose by the giftings each one of us has been given.  I know it can be confusing and scary to walk in boldness and proclaim the name of Jesus over things that, in the natural realm, seem impossible.  Especially if we let our brains start trying to figure out the hows, whys, and doubts that come with operating in the gifts God gives us.  So start by praying and asking God to give us the courage, strength, and power to boldly invoke the Name of Jesus!  In Ephesians Paul prayed this to believers. I have included the prayer below and I would encourage everyone to pray this prayer, replacing the “You’s” with “Me’s”, “I’s” and “My’s”!

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you (me) a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your (My) heart may be enlightened, so that you (I) will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us (I) who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.  And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23

Just say YES to praying in Jesus Name!

Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
