Devo for 1/11/2026 - Message by Pastor Clint
Pastor Clint started a series this past weekend titled Devotion. He described the word Devotion as:
Love, Loyalty, or enthusiasm, for a person, activity or cause
Religious worship or observance
Prayer or spiritual reflection.
The key verse was Acts 2:41:
“They devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
This is a great scripture that highlights the devotion of early Christians to Jesus’ mission. Pastor Clint mentioned that their devotion was stronger than any opposition to come against them. Even to the point of death.
So, the obvious question from this teaching is: Are you devoted to Jesus? Do you, like the disciples, devote everything you do to Him? When you read these definitions of being devoted, do you see yourself in them?
To adhere to one, to be devoted or constant to one
To be steadfastly attentive unto
To show oneself courageous for
To be in constant readiness for one
To get the answer to the above, maybe a better question to ask would be: What are you devoted to?
I would encourage everyone to ask God to reveal to us where our devotions lie. Then ask God to help us refocus our devotion to Jesus and invite Him in to all that we do. That IS the path to success!
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Luke 16:13
Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
