Devo for 4/26/2026 - Message by Pastor Clint
Pastor Clint finished up the series “Jesus Changes Everything” talking about how Jesus changes our identity, our purpose, and our relationships. That is, if we let Him! The principle here is that God did not offer us salvation just to sit and wait for us to go home or for Jesus to return. God saved us all for a purpose that serves His purpose! We have a role to play and must get in the game if we want to fulfill our purpose.
Are you ready for the role that God has for you? Often, we may believe we know our purpose and think we are ready, but we might not be in the right place to fulfill it. There could be issues in our lives that God wants us to address. For example, if we are living in constant sin or harbor hidden sins, it will be difficult to walk in the purpose He has given us. Additionally, we may need to grow in certain areas of our lives to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfill our roles effectively. I am not saying we have to be “perfect” before we walk in our purpose. What I am saying is, we have to be willing to let Him lead and grow us as we walk in it. We have to be ok with our role in God’s plan being a journey, and not a sprint!!
There is a sense of excitement in knowing that our Father has a place for us, and it is a positive thing to be eager to fulfill that role. However, we must remember to slow down and act according to God’s timing and direction. We have to walk with Him every step of the journey He has us on. I have learned that when I practice patience and remain open to receiving His guidance, it becomes much easier to walk in my purpose!
The key to all of this is to let Jesus have it all. As Pastor Clint said: “If Jesus is not Lord of all, He isn’t the Lord at all.”
Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
