Devo for 6/7/2026 - Message by Pastor Clint, Pastor Zac, and Nicole
Coming off the 2026 GO Conference, this past Sunday Pastor Zac and Nicole shared their story with the Church and talked about the new season they are beginning as they transition to full-time missionary life. What a great example of obedience, as we are told in Mark:
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15
We know that we all have a part to play in preaching the good news to the world, as this verse pointedly says. “Preaching” in this verse means to announce, herald, or speak up. It is talking about spreading the good news of the ultimate and final sacrificial lamb, Jesus. We do this through the word of our testimony, sharing God’s truth as written in the Bible, and especially by our character as displayed by how we live our lives.
Pastor Clint, when sharing at the beginning of the message, spoke about a characteristic of an obedient Christian. This characteristic is generosity.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be generous, and Pastor Clint pointed out how generosity is a foundational value of LifeMission Church:
We are generous with the Gospel
We are generous in serving our community
We have been generous with other organizations
We have been generous with planting churches
We are generous in sending and supporting missionaries
Many times, when we talk about missions and missionaries, our thoughts go to those who go outside of the United States to spread the Gospel. But we have to remember that the United States is part of this World, and we are citizens of the Kingdom of God living here. So consider yourself a missionary wherever you are!
Just like the foundational value of LifeMission noted above, we as missionaries are called to be generous with sharing our love for Jesus by being intentional with our time, talents, and riches. In fact, our generosity should reflect God’s own heart!
So, the challenge to everyone is this: Go out on mission today and be generous!! Good will come of it!!
Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice. Psalm 112:5
Don’t forget to invite God into your day!
